Evaluation of the Academic Advising System and Support at CUHK (2020-22)

This study aims at surveying both students' and teachers' experiences in participating in the CUHK Academic Advisor System.

The mission of academic advising is to assist students in their growth and development by constructing meaningful educational plans which are compatible with their life goals. It is a continuous and consistent process which is built upon the basis of frequent, accumulated personal contacts between advisor and advisee.

This project has conducted a thorough and qualitative investigation of the current academic advisor system at CUHK. The following five aspects of the academic advisor system were investigated, namely:
(1) Definition, (2) Barrier, (3) Arrangement, (4) Content and (5) Evaluation.
